If your employer offers a match for your 401K or other retirement contributions, chances are, you already know about it. What you may not know is that many companies offer gift matching. Thanks to this powerful but underused benefit, gifts you make to your alma mater may be doubled when you leverage your company’s workplace giving program.

Use the employer search feature on this page to learn if your company has a workplace giving program. If you don’t see your employer on the list, check with your company to see if it will match your gift to Virginia Tech.
Step 2
Click on your company’s match program to learn the different resources that your company offers. Follow the steps outlined to activate your company’s match.
Step 3
To ensure that your match is applied to your gift, we recommend that you:

WORKPLACE GIVING + COMPANY MATCH FAQ's
Workplace giving is a company-sponsored program that provides employees the opportunity to enhance their financial support for nonprofit organizations. Some companies will match their employees’ gifts to higher education initiatives. Through workplace giving, employees can make more generous charitable donations to the nonprofits they care about.
If your company has an employee match platform that does not include Virginia Tech among available nonprofits please let us know by reaching out to us.
