Where can I find a complete schedule of events for the weekend, including other activities that may be happening on campus?

Please visit our schedule page to find a complete lineup of events happening during the weekend. 

If a tour hits capacity, can I be added to a waitlist?

 Yes, please contact the Office of Special Events to be added to a waitlist.

Are there room blocks available at local hotels?

Yes, lodging information can be found online.

Will there be shuttle service to and from the recommended hotels during the weekend?

A shuttle will be provided from the front entrance of The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center to and from weekend events. Shuttles will not be available from the other local hotels.

If we aren't staying at The Inn, can we park there to catch the shuttle?

Yes,  you can park at The Inn to catch the shuttle, just be sure to display your parking pass provided in your invitation.

Where should I park as I navigate campus during the weekend?

Detailed parking information can be found online. Be sure to bring your mailed parking pass with you.

Is there other important parking or traffic information I should know?

Please note that it will be a busy weekend on campus, and both parking and traffic may be heavier than usual. Alumni Mall will be closed to parking on Friday, April 25, and the outbound lane will be completely closed on Saturday, April 26. We encourage you to plan your travel accordingly.

We are attending Ut Prosim Weekend. May we bring our houseguest, child, friend, or another guest with us?

We are excited to welcome you for a memorable weekend. Ut Prosim Weekend invitations are extended to our most generous and passionate Hokies to recognize their support and celebrate their contributions. Invitations are extended only to Ut Prosim Society Members, who are at least 21 years old. Please contact the Office of Special Events if you have any questions.

My spouse cannot attend the weekend with me. May I bring someone else in their place?

Yes, as long as your guest is over the age of 21 you may bring someone in your spouses place. 

Our household cannot attend Ut Prosim Weekend this year. May we ask others to go in our place?

Invitations are extended only to Ut Prosim Society Members, who are at least 21 years old. Please contact the Office of Special Events if you have any questions.

What should I wear for various activities during the weekend?

All tours, open houses, lunch, and spotlights are casual attire. The Saturday night celebration is cocktail attire.

How can I make a change to my hotel reservation?

Please contact your hotel directly for any lodging changes. If you need assistance making changes to weekend activities or guest names please contact the Office of Special Events.

My spouse and I require a caregiver or family member to assist us. May we bring this person to the activities we are attending?

Please contact the Office of Special Events prior to the weekend if you have any special needs requirement so that we can assist.

My spouse/guest has mobility issues. Will there a wheelchair available for us?

Please contact the Office of Special Events prior to the weekend if you have a special needs requirement so that we may assist.

Do we need to check in to receive credentials for the weekend?

No, you do not need to check in for the weekend. Nametags will be available at specific weekend events where necessary. A hospitality area will be available in the Holtzman Alumni Center on Friday, April 25 from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.
